Celebrities And Popular People You Didn't Know Come From Nasarawa State


Nasarawa State is really blessed with human and natural resources. D.U.Blog did a little facts finding and presents you a list of celebrities and popular persons who you probably didn't are from Nasarawa State.

1.Bez (Emmanuel Bezhiwa Idakula): Music Star and Globacom brand ambassador is of Nasarawa State origin. Born in Jos on the 10th of November 1983, he is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and composer. His late father was a politician and Gubernatorial Candidate in Nasarawa State.



2. Terry Tha rapman: This another muisc sensation. As shocking as it may sound but true, Terry hails from Obi LGA in Nasarawa State. An indigene of Nasarawa state but raised in Kaduna. Terry was one of the pioneers of hiphop in Nigeria. Came into limelight with 'I am a Nigerian' and went on to make 'na beans' which was a popular hiphop classic. His other popular tracks are 'ojoro' ft Terry G, and 'sample' ft Stereoman and Pherowshuz. Terry raps both in plain english and pidjin with ease and he kills any track he's on no wonder he has worked with many Nigerian star artists on both his tracks and features. He was a co-founder of the Swatroot Crew with Solo Dee, Six Foot Plus, Mode 9, and Eldee. His last track 'your best rapper is a lie' is one where he took a little swipe at the naija music industry. Boys Are Not Smilling!!!



3. Tisha A. Mohammed: Tisha is a pretty model and Nollywood actress, who has numerous movies to her name


4. Ozee(Godwin Ozotu Attah ): Lol!! I guess too any of us already know this fact. Ozee as he is fondly is from Doma, Nasarawa State. His name OZEE was coined from the first two letters of his Alago tribal name Ozotu.


5. Hon. Justice Suleiman Galadima:  He is a Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.



6. Captain Usman Jibrin (rtd): Former Governor of North Central state from July 1975 to 1977. Captain Usman (rtd) is from Nasarawa local government of Nasarawa State.



7. Hassan Mohammed Lawal: Served as Federal Minister of Labour, and then of Works and Housing, between 2004 and 2010




8. Pastor Esther Ibanga: Is a pastor and founder of the "Women Without Walls Initiative". She won the 32nd  Niwano Peace Prize for promoting peace among people of different ethnic groups and religions in Jos. Pastor Esther Ibanga  is from Kagbu; Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.


9. Mr Kure Martins Abeshi: Comptroller General of Immigration. Was appointed comptroller General of Imigration on the 27th of August 2015.



10. Mallam Ibrahim Usman Jibril: State Minister of Environment Mallam Ibrahim Usman Jibril was born 57 years ago in Nasarawa State. He attended Community Secondary School Nasarawa.
