A bus driver has allegedly been beaten to death by a police officer in Igando area of Lagos state. The incident occured at the Igando BRT park.
The incident was said to have genesised when the bus driver had bluntly refused to offer bribe requested by the police officer, the officer angrily jumped into the bus, dragged the bus driver down and started punching him furiously. Despite the driver's attempt to defend himself, the police officer kept on punching him and succeeded in pushing him into a nearby gutter. By the time onlookers would rescue the driver and bring him out of the gutter he was already dead.
