The Grammys may be over but the drama after it is not. Kanye West brought a little bit of fun to the show with his stage crashing antics. After interrupting Beck’s win for Album of the Year, he went on a rant about Beck not respecting “artistry,” since he thought BeyoncĂ© deserved to win the trophy and he even advised Beck to return the trophy to BeyoncĂ©. Who does that?
Well, In a new interview with People, Kanye’s once-rival, 50 Cent, has an opinion about Kanye’s rude stunts and he defiantly is not siding Kanye.
First, 50 cents doesn’t think the Grammys are as important as they once were.
“I’m not sure that people care about those establishments anymore,”. “My reason for being excited about an award show is my peers being there to acknowledge the award. And if it means that we get to choose ourselves who deserves what awards, then why would I show up for them to tell me?”
He also talked about the time he lost an award to a band group, Evanescence back in 2004 and said that's an example of how the Grammys got it wrong, saying that he should’ve won Best New Artist for his debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin’.
“When’s the last time you’ve seen Evanescence?” he asked, adding, “*Crickets, crickets*.’
With that said, he did disagree with Kanye though.
“[Beck] produced the record, he wrote the record,”. “There’s 11 producers on Beyonce’s album — Kanye, being a producer and a writer should see that, but you get jaded.”
