Marafa has distinguished himself by placing his people in Chanchaga constituency before himself. Rt. Hon. Marafa has proven beyond doubts that he is a man born with true leadership qualities.
A man who has the welfare and well-being of his people at heart. Like the proverbial shepard, he lead his people with gentility, love and compassion.
In less than one year in office Rt. Hon. Marafa has outdone his predecessors by offering the society what they had been deprived of in previous years. Chanchaga constituency is today witnessing the dividends of true democracy. Tears and the agony of Chanchaga constituents as a result of bad leadership are been wiped away by this rare gem.
As a passionate humanitarian and a philanthropist, Rt. Hon. Marafa has through his empowerment scheme disbursed educational support and materials to over 250 Chanchaga youths with over 70 Chanchaga women been awarded cash gifts to start-up any petty trading of their choice, gave out twelve motorcycles to his coordinators across the eleven wards of the constituency and also disbursed the sum of #500,000 (Five Hundred Thousand Naira) in support of the victims of the fire disaster in Minna Central Market.
In the words of Mark Twain, “Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see”, his kind gestures are applauded beyond the shores of Niger state. In less than one year in office Rt. Hon. Marafa in his constituency development project has recorded immense reception from Chanchaga constitutes, with some notable project as follows:
In Nasarawa "B" Ward, Rt. Hon. Marafa effected the repair of a borehole at Kofar Shango Mai Kaduna, conversion of a manual borehole to motorise borehole at 8080 Area and donated three electricity poles at Angwan Malama, with over
ten electricity poles at very strategic places.
In Nasarawa "A" Ward, Rt. Hon Marafa facilitated the repair and maintenance of a motorised borehole at Doko Chemist. He also enforced the construction and evacuation of some drainages at the Late Chief Imam's Area and repaired tap water pipeline with an additional two G.P 5000 litre overhead tanks at Mahauta opposite Central Mosque. He further provided another two G.P 5000 litre overhead tanks at Mai Angwan Area.
Still not relenting in his mission of putting smiles on his people's face, Rt. Hon Marafa converted a manual borehole to motorised borehole, constructed an overhead tank seat
and provided two G.P 5000 litre. Rehabilitation of water pipeline and provision of two G.P tank and also included the renovation of the overhead tank seat at Babadoko area behind AP filling station. He also rehabilitated and repaired the borehole at Bisi Clinic. He further effected the evacuation of drainages at Agwan Makafi and Layin Babankuri with another repair of borehole all in Limawa "A" ward.
In Minna South Ward he necessitated the repair of ten poles and fifteen number of pole fittings. He further ordered the repair of nine boreholes at strategic locations, conversion of manual to motorise borehole and maintenance in A.B Soje another manual to motorise borehole conversion at Mai Angwa House Base.
In Tudun Wada North, Rt. Hon. Marafa effected the repair of seven boreholes, one at behind Tunga Market, two at Victory Nursery and primary School, another at UBE Primary School, with three at Kafit Tela and another at Coca-Cola polling unit. Still in Tundun Wada Ward, the Honourable necessitated the repair of public pumps at Liberty Polling Unit and also provided two G.P tank and the repair of motorise borehole behind Nau'zo Family Pharmacy Tunga.
In Sabon Gari Ward, the Honourable instituted the repair of two borehole and the repair of Solar borehole at U.B.E primary school and a provision of G.P tanks with extension of pipe at Tudun Natsira, with a drainage construction from Radar Paint to the garage/culvert. He further provided a submissive machine, repaired the pipe and donated two G.P tank at Abdulsalam Quarters.
In Limawa "B" Ward the Rt. Hon. Marafa order the immediate repair of four boreholes in all three zones, provided two unit feeder fuse at Dutsen Kuran Hausa with the repair of two spoilt solar panels at Bajago and provided submissive machines with two G.P tanks all at Bajago. In Minna Central Ward the Honourable fostered the repair five boreholes and the conversion of manual to motorise borehole at APC ward office Minna Central, he further ordered the immediate repair of fifteen (150m, 75mm armour-cable feeder fuse, 100m aluminium cable along hospital road). He also provided three fuse feeder at Oduoyw Quarters and repair of water pipe at Kongila.
At Makera Ward Rt. Hon Marafa necessitated the replacement of feeder fuse at Morris, laying of pipe at Lagos Street, repair of ward office at Mai Angwan Office, disbursed financial assistance to victims of fire hazard and effected the repair of three boreholes. He further effected the construction of a drainage in Makera Ward.
These are just a figment of the numerous projects Rt. Hon. Marafa has undertaken in his constituency in just one year in office.
Rt. Hon. Marafa is the ideal definition of a leader that is propagating efficiently the "change" agenda. He is arguably the best representative in the history of Chanchaga Constituency.
