Sometimes i just sit down and start to imagine what life would have been without music and without being told it would have been very boring for everybody. DJ's who are better known as Disc Jockeys play a very significant role in the Entertainment Industry today as they are entrusted with the task of playing latest music in events and bringing any latest joint to the awareness of the public.
It no longer news that several things in human life has become a professional field. Gone are those days where DJs are few but these days everybody wants to become a DJ professionally including the females.
These days Disc Jockers are one of the most paid and sought-after entertainers in Nigeria today. Just like every other celebrities in Nigeria like comedians, actors/actress, musicians; Nigerian Disc Jockers(DJ's) are living their dream life as their hustle is currently paying off like blood money.
On the other hand, Keffi is a bubbling town and the heartbeat of Nasarawa State, Nigeria. In fact it wouldn't be out of place to refer to Keffi as "The Center of Excellence" of Nasarawa State. In Keffi, houses the prestigious, Nasarawa State University.
You can't talk about DJing in Keffi without giving due respect to the likes of DJ Wicked Finger (you can’t talk about the DJ's in Keffi today without first of all giving due acknowledgement to his name) and DJ Kemz. These are men who have distinguished themselves in the Disc Jockey industry in Keffi.
Nevertheless, in Keffi there is one Disc Jockey who has in recent times built a name and a brand for himself.
Within few months he has been able to capture the hearts of NSUK party organisers and even showbiz organisers in Keffi at large.
He is no other person but, Akolo Godswill Timothy popularly known as "DJ Starboi".
Currently if a row call of DJ's in Keffi are made you can't but include his name and place it right at the top!! He has strongly carved a niche for himself in Keffi Entertainment Industry as one DJ to be sought after.
His prowess as a DJ has given him fame beyond our expectation. This edge has offered him more opportunity and recognition in Keffi. Yes he wasn't the first in the DJing game in Keffi but in recent time he has built a remarkable name and antecedent for himself and he is also regarded as one of the most industrious DJ's in the city of Keffi.
DJ Starboi hails from Lafia in Nasarawa but moved into keffi metropolis in recent time and has since then gained lots of fans and admiration for himself.
His humility is that which gets you spell bounded and amazed, as he has been regarded by many as been down-to-earth. The young Nigerian DJ is not just humble but he is really gifted when it comes to handling and scratching songs.
On the female category; The female have also proven that what a man can do, a woman can try. They are also diving into the field as it has gone more professional than how it use to be in time past.
A notable female DJ in Keffi who has over time retained her number one spot is no other person but Nghargbu Kunkwle Grace.
Grace popularly known as DJ Koko is a super model and an Usher who has contested in several top notch pageantries in Nasarawa state and beyond. Speaking to Divinelove she had revealed that been a DJ had always been her childhood dream.
DJ Koko has really improved in her craft over the years and is currently the most *popular female DJ* in Keffi who is giving the male counterparts a run for their money.
DJ Koko is currently a final year student of the Department of Mass Communication in Nasarawa state. Since emerging as the First Female DJ in Nasarawa State University, DJ Koko is yet to have a female rival who can outdo and outshine her popularity.
She has bagged several awards both within and outside the shores of Nasarawa State University cutting across her modelling and DJ career respectively.
